  • Information age my ass!

In an age that consists of easy access information, and I don't mean the libary! but how much info do we really get on a normal day? the news? the danish news is boring and seems more like recent trash-events like some dude doing x,y or z and it never feels like news, just a sort of entertainment that make us either laugh or cry. I just watched a 60 min show or what to call it, the stories they air are just mindblowing at times, how a doctor by the name of Paul Farmer is basically healing Haiti and has the vision that healthcare is a human right, but how many people know about this man? that isn't in the international healthcare system or like me, watched a segment on a 60 min show.

I have to be honest that it pisses me off, we in the western world pride ourselves too much, esp. the americans in the US, now I'm not gonna bash the american people, they just don't know better or bash their goverment 'cause that's gotten old and I'll leave that to people who wants to, but seriously. How can we call this the information age, which means we have educations and where knowledge has become a "product" and with these educations and information we know that there are people out there, in that big world that has gotten alot smaller the last many years, who doesn't have access to the most basic of human needs, or "simply" have a disease that is easily cured and can save peoples lives.

We all also know that, we as a race, are sooo similar, so much that besides a few differences like skin color etc. we are all the same race, homo sapiens and how can we, as a race have such pride and yet know that alot of us suffer while others are getting fat on too much of life? I am not saying we are all equal, that's a naive thought and it would be wonderful I guess, but the doctor that saves lives is a better man than the murdere that takes them. But my point in this rant is, how is it that some places of the world just seems to be a nest of misery? Why isn't the world working together towards a common good so to speak, the mere thought sounds like science-fiction, I know, and I'm not saying that people that have a good life should feel guilt, no that would just be worse. People who actually do have a good life, should life it fully and not waste it, that would be disrespectful! a crude example would be a man with legs would stop walking 'cause his neighbour lost both his legs, the neighbour wouldn't feel gratitude but ridicule.
So who has to do something? Our goverments of course, we pay taxes, some of us pay alot of taxes and other could pay more without bleeding. More money to project that help people in need, the good old senteance counts that you can judge a society/country by how it treats it's poor/lowest in society citizens.

I just don't understand injustice, intolerance, racism or lack of basic human rights, how people die of basic illnesess and some people still focus on "the gay-threat", we live in a world where countries seem to pride themselves on being different than the other instead of working together... I don't know, a part of me sees the end of humans by internal conflicts among us or perhaps it's just some good old negativity from my side, but when I see people die or suffer in the TV my heart bleeds, I have no wish to dedicate my life to help them 'cause can one man stop the stream?

  • Yay Wii!

After a long break away from my Wii (besides the occational Guitar Hero 3) I finally found something fun to play on it! Don't get me wrong the Wii is great fun in itself but lately I've run out of games to play! But have no fear, Nintendo just released "Wiiware" basically a service where you can buy games and content to games, great news for Wii owners! Final Fantasy: My Life as a King is the game that was entertaining me for about 20 hours so far, so thank you Nintendo! If you got a Wii, give it a try. Behind the kiddie-pleasent graphics a really good gameplay lies and with the additional content you can buy to it (which is a must) it's actually a really good game... which surprised me alot, almost as much as this drink I'm drinking my gf left in the frige. It looks like water, it acts like water, first taste is like water but WAIT! some fruity aftertaste or perhaps it's really really old water and before I press "save changes" I die... can't wait to find out!

Laundry. It is hell. I hate having to transport it to the place where I wash and dry it, I hate having to go back after 45min to put it in the dryer only to go back there 30 min later and get the dry clothes! so I'm going to be naked from now on, it's like nature made me so I can't see why I should hide it!... yes, I just took laziness to a new level, go me!

  • And so it begins... hopefully.

First of all, my name. Yes it is silly beyond healthy, but all others were taken! So with the help of a speciel internet friend of mine, some late night madness (really early morning, just sounds better the other way) I conjured up a name that was... unique. Yes I gave in, after testing too many names where I went "oh my god, of course!" only to see it being taken, made me cave in. I, ThunderingNinjaPandaofDoom is a quitter.

Second of all, welcome to my spot at xanga!
